Erin Weston-Myers came into Pilates after she finished her first season dancing with the Radio City Rockettes,
when she was suffering from knee and back pain. After a few months of Pilates work, the muscles around her
knees were strengthened and her scoliosis, which she has had since a young age, was starting to straighten
out. Since then, Erin has opened Simply Pilates, a successful Pilates studio located in the heart of Nashville, TN,
to better the lives of other people.
Erin was trained in Pilates at the Kane School of Core Integration, based in NYC. She is A.C.E. and P.M.A.
certified and is also a faculty member of Balanced Body University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Managerial
Entrepreneurship from Pace University in NYC (Cum Laude). Erin is an energizing individual and teacher. Her love
for Pilates and dedication for improving the lives of others is shared with all of her clients.

Jennifer has been a principal dancer with the Nashville Ballet since 2002, when she and her husband, Matthew
Christensen, joined the company. Originally from upstate NY, she has also danced with Ballet Idaho, Eugene Ballet,
and Richmond Ballet.
With rehabilitation work for various dance-related injuries, Jennifer was introduced to Pilates-based exercises over the
course of her career, and gradually began studying on her own. She had been meaning to get her teacher
certification for several years, so she joined the inaugural teacher-training class at Simply Pilates. Jennifer comes
from a family of teachers, and although she was certain she would never become one herself, she began teaching
ballet several years ago and found she loves helping her students gain knowledge and abilities they can apply outside
the classroom.
Jennifer, her husband, and their dog, Carmen Delilah, live in East Nashville, and love outdoor activities such as
mountain biking and camping.
Amanda's first experience with Pilates was during college in Minnesota, while working at an answering service taking
orders for a popular exercise video catalog. A few years later, after moving to Nashville, she decided to try this Pilates
program so many people had called and asked her about. After a few months of classes at the YMCA, she fell in love
with Pilates. She began buying books to learn new exercises, and designing her own programs.
Amanda credits Pilates with giving her motivation during a 10 month fitness journey during which she lost 50 pounds
and dropped 4 pants sizes. Her desire to help others achieve their fitness goals brought her to Simply Pilates, where
she started taking classes in January and joined the Teacher Training program a few months later. She has attended
additional training to specialize in working with pregnant women and those that have recently given birth.
Amanda holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Belmont University, and has spent the last five years
working in the Christian music industry in Nashville. She lives with her husband, 2 cats and dog in Inglewood where
she enjoys photography, rollerblading, and other outdoor activities.
Kay was first introduced to Pilates in 1992 while studying dance at Texas Woman’s University. In 2005 Kay made a
commitment to pursuing Pilates as a career and lifestyle. At that time, she began teaching Pilates at Belmont University
and pursuing formal Pilates Certification.
Kay holds a B.S. in Health Promotion with a minor in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. She has completed
graduate work in Health Promotion and Dance and holds certifications in Pilates Mat Work, Personal Training, Smoking
Cessation, and Lifestyle Counseling, and she is a Licensed Wellcoach. Additionally, she has taught dance at private
studios and gyms and two colleges.
In the past 14 years, working in private, clinical, government, corporate, and university settings, Kay has designed
many programs and helped thousands of clients on an individual and group bases to realize their personal potential and
improve their health, wellness, and quality of life.
Most recently, Kay self-published a workbook aptly named “Life Planning” to provide individuals with a method to
discover, define, and achieve personal potential.
Brenda, a native Texan, worked as a professional dancer for seven years in the long-running, original musical, “The
Promise” and in a national tour of “Agapeland” before moving to Colorado Springs in 1994 with her husband and starting
a family. When their first son was six months old, Brenda discovered she had an Atrial Septal Defect. It was in rehab,
during her recovery from open heart surgery, that Brenda re-discovered her passion for fitness.
Over the years, Brenda has taught at the Y, Peterson Air Force Base, and Community Outreach Centers. She also
achieved many fitness certifications, including Pilates, Yoga, Kickboxing, Step, Spinning, Personal Trainer, and Primary
Group Fitness. In 2003, another son and another cross-county move brought Brenda and her family to Nashville. After
taking time to settle into the Nashville scene, Brenda once again began to pursue her fitness dreams. Those dreams
have led her to Simply Pilates where she is completing her Teacher Training Certification.
Brenda is grateful for the opportunity to share her fitness journey with others; inspiring them to greater health and
fitness as they deal with the challenges life brings.
Kristi, originally from Fort Worth, Texas, moved to Nashville in 1995 to attend Belmont University and pursue a career in
music. It was during her development as an artist on Capitol Records, that she first discovered the benefits of Pilates.
She soon became a regular client at Simply Pilates and absolutely fell in love with the studio's approach to the practice
and pure joy of Pilates. Interested in becoming an instructor, she signed up for the teacher training program and is now
singing a whole new tune. "After years of focusing on myself and my career in music, I have thoroughly enjoyed
shifting my energy to help others feel terrific about themselves. Pilates doesn't just change your body and posture
physically, it makes you walk taller in all areas of your life." She is now teaching regular mat classes for Simply Pilates
at the sororities of Vanderbilt University.
Engaged to be married and crazy about her new puppy Briley, and oh yeah her fiance as well, Kristi's energy and zest
for life is infectious. Experience it firsthand starting in January 2008.
Kate makes the studio happen.
